Shane Eickmann is an Emergency Pre-hospital Educator. He works full time as an Advanced Care Paramedic and Superintendent of Operations for Niagara Regional Emergency Medical Services, Hamilton Health Sciences Centre for Paramedic Education & Research as the Outreach Co-ordinator and previously as a part time professor at Niagara College. Along with his colleagues, Shane has won multiple National Paramedic Competitions throughout the world, and holds Instructor qualifications in Lifeguarding, Tactical Medicine, Water Rescue, International Trauma Life Support, Survival & Remote Wilderness Medicine. As a Disaster Management volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross he assists locally and as a Rapid Response Team member with Global Medic he has deployed internationally.
Shane's loves to share his passion for adventure and everything WILD. As a Master Instructor, Shane has travelled and spoken on a variety of subjects and is known as an energetic facilitator- one of the top experts in his field. |

Driven, competitive and, above all, genuine – all these adjectives describe Shane Eickmann.
The 26-year-old advanced care paramedic, who lives in St. Catharines, studied at Niagara College to earn his place in the health services field. In the combined six years of health sciences education, he’s done more than just secure his career; he’s made significant contributions to the community.
It’s hard to imagine he can accomplish so much in such a short time, but he does so in a way that appears effortless.
In his typical easy-going manner, he answered questions about his career, volunteer efforts and personal life, giving the impression he had nowhere else he needed to be. With the many responsibilities and activities he has on his plate, it’s a wonder he didn’t answer in brief and hit the road.... Continue reading
